Third & Townsend Models is proud to reproduce the historic commemorative consist currently traveling the Union Pacific system, featuring the striking America 250 graphics carried by the prototype cars during the 2026 excursion season.
These will be produced with the official America250 initiative, this series has been developed to faithfully commemorate one of the most recognizable railroad ambassadors of the nation's semiquincentennial celebration.
As one of the first officially licensed model railroad projects celebrating America's 250th anniversary, this collection brings the excitement of the prototype directly to your layout or display case.
Series 1 includes six beautifully detailed passenger cars:

- City of Denver Dining Car
- Challenger Dome Coach
- Lincoln Business Observation Car
- Howard Fogg Power Car
Each model faithfully captures the appearance of the prototype cars with their distinctive America 250 commemorative graphics, creating an accurate snapshot of this historic excursion train as it tours the country behind Union Pacific's legendary Big Boy.
This is only the beginning.
Third & Townsend Models is committed to producing the entire America 250 excursion consist, allowing collectors to recreate the complete train exactly as it appears during the 2026 celebration.
