Amtrak Heritage Budd Baggage Cars O Scale by Golden Gate Depot
Double-Door & Single-Door Versions — Plus US Mail Conversions
From the earliest days of Amtrak through the Mail & Express era, heritage stainless Budd baggage cars were the quiet workhorses at the head end of America’s passenger trains. These cars ran coast-to-coast in multiple paint phases, bridging the transition from the “Rainbow Era” into the familiar red/white/blue striping and beyond, showing up on long-distance consists, corridor assignments, and mail/express blocks alike.
Our O Scale models capture that unmistakable Budd look with crisp fluting, correct proportions, and “ready-for-service” detail that looks right behind anything from SDP40Fs and F40PHs to P42s and beyond.
