The first of the N&W's "Mollies", the late Thomas Dressler remarks, were mainline freight haulers and very successful in this first series. Described as a Consolidation with a 4-ft longer boiler, these engines didn't break any new ground but did provide better riding qualities and more power on essentially the same wheelbase hauling freight for the N&W. Strasburg Railroad acquired #475 in 1991. Over the years it has gone through several lettering changes. We are offering this locomotive with it’s 10,000 gallon 4 wheel truck tender in Orignal N&W lettering and Strasburg lettering. Also available with 12,000 6 wheel truck tender as “Modified” with a centered headlight. In addition to 4 other roadnames. All with removable spark arrestors on the smoke stacks.
