Sunset Models 3rd Rail proudly introduces for the first time in O Scale, the General Electric P32AC-DM to O Scale for the very first time. Built by General Electric between 1995 and 1998, the P32AC-DM is a unique member of the Genesis locomotive family, designed specifically for Amtrak and Metro-North Railroad. Featuring the ability to operate as both a conventional diesel-electric locomotive and from 750-volt DC third-rail power, the P32AC-DM allows seamless operation into New York City's Grand Central Terminal without the need for locomotive changes.

Replacing the veteran FL9 fleet, the P32AC-DM ushered in a new era of passenger rail operations in the Northeast and remains a vital part of both Amtrak's Empire Corridor and Metro-North's Hudson and Harlem Line services. Sunset Models faithfully captures the distinctive appearance, intricate details, and unique engineering of this modern passenger locomotive in a highly detailed O Scale model.

We accept no deposits for these orders. Prices are subject to change without notice due to market conditions beyond our control. If you have any questions feel free to call us at 1-510-342-4389. If you fail to pickup items you reserve, we will no longer accept your reservations.

Our Procedure

When the product is due to arrive from the Factory we will send you a notice by mail giving you instructions on how to purchase your model and when the models are arriving. If you fail to purchase more than once your reservations will no longer be accepted. So only firm orders, please.
On all pre-orders, regardless of the manufacturer, we offer an easy and flexible payment plan.

If opting in, once the models go into production and we are expecting delivery within 6 months, you will be emailed a reminder and invoices will be sent out for the following 6 months at the cost of 1/6 of your total order.
